Hi, I’m Jewells Chambers, the creator of All Things Iceland. I’m a native New Yorker who fell in love with Iceland after marrying an Icelander and moving here. I love exploring this country, learning something new wherever I go, and sharing what I discover with you.

My journey to Iceland
Even though Iceland is such a huge part of my life now, it was not very long ago that I was completely unaware of how amazing this place is. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and lived most of my life there. The first time I moved away from NYC was to attend RPI in upstate NY for four years. After receiving my bachelors in Biomedical Engineering, I moved back to NYC to work and live. My first visit to Iceland in December of 2013 with my now ex-husband is what started my fascination with the land of fire and ice.
I’m grateful to share what makes this country so special. Through the All Things Iceland podcast, videos, and articles, I explore Icelandic history, culture, language, nature, food, and everyday life. I was also honored to receive an Equal Rights Award in 2020 for my work sharing the experiences of foreign nationals and Icelanders.
